Clean Freaks vs COVID-19

We’ve always been in the business of clean.

As we navigate the lifting of COVID restrictions in MA, we’ll continue to lead, not follow when it comes to safety.

What We’ve Always Done 

Sterilized Tools

We don’t just disinfect our tools, we sterilize them using dry heat sterilizers or autoclaves, like hospitals do. Everyone else dips their tools in a disinfectant (we hope!), but that’s where we get started. After disinfection, we sterilize. If we can’t sterilize it, we throw it away after a single use.

Natural Nails Only

We minimize your exposure to vapors, harsh chemicals and electric tools like nail drills. We do this by working only with natural nails (no acrylics or enhancements) and having ventilation equipment in every location.

No bubbles!

Our pedi tubs do not use jets since they cannot be properly sanitized and breed harmful bacteria. By avoiding the jets, we’re able to keep you safe.

We Disinfect

We use EPA-registered disinfectants to clean contact surfaces, brushes, tools and stations between every Guest. We always have.

Ventilation Systems

We’ve always had dedicated ventilation systems. This helps remove particulate from the air and circulate fresh air to maintain air quality.

Hands-Free Washing

We have Guest hand sinks available and many of our stores feature hands-free equipment such as handsfree soap dispensers, sinks, and dryers.

To keep everyone safe, we’re going to take a cautious approach for a little while longer.

PPE for You & Us

We’ll continue to wear masks as we transition through the next phase of COVID reopening. We’ll also make gloves available for you to use, if you’d like.

Shields

Large acrylic shields will continue to be used during manicures and pedicures. (Check out @maneandmani on IG to see.)

Temp Check

Our team will continue to require temperature checks using contact-free thermometers. Upon arrival, we’ll need to check your temp and ask a few questions. We might have to refuse service to help ensure your safety and the safety of others. We hope you’ll understand, we’re playing it safe.

Door Openers

We’ve added foot operated openers on doors like entrances and bathrooms, wherever possible.

No Beverages

Sorry, but your favorite cappuccinos aren’t back just yet. Soon, we’ll be back to brewing fresh espresso and tea, but for a little bit longer, we will not have beverage service available.

Cashless

We continue to ask our Guests to help make the checkout experience touch-less. We will only accept electronic payment during this time, and will not be able to offer change for tips. You can still tip your ‘fave Session Stylists using tip envelopes that will be available at our front desk or you can tip on a credit card or using Venmo.

Social Distancing

 We’ll continue to support social distancing measures in our stores, as best we can.

Guest Limit

We’ll continue to limit the number of Guests in our spaces by keeping our waiting areas closed for a little bit longer and asking you call when checking in.

Station Spacing

In most cases our stations are already spaced out, but we’ll continue to space our stations whenever possible, steadily increasing our capacity over time.

Freeing-up Space

We’ve removed non-essential furnishings like reception seating and drying stations to free up more space and more distance.

Staggered Appointments

We’ll continue to stagger our schedule to help ensure fewer people coming and going at the same time.

Checking In

When you arrive in our parking lots, give us a call to check in. When we are ready to take you, we’ll call you to come in.

Checkout

By moving to a cashless system, we’ve helped ensure a touchless checkout experience. We can also check you out during your service by using our mobile terminals. Whenever possible, use Venmo or our tip envelopes to tip your Session Stylist. Soon, we’ll be launching our mobile app too!

Keep Stuff at Home

Avoid bringing a lot of personal belongings along — like pocketbooks, coats, laptops, etc.

Book a Blowout & Mani

Yep, you’re helping when you book our signature, simultaneous blowout & mani. You’ll save time, and free up space in our studios (yep, you’re doing something great for your fellow Guest). What will you do with all the time you save? Seize the day.

Polishes

We sanitize every bottle between Guests, but we understand if you want to bring in your own polish. You are welcome to bring in your favorite, non-gel polish. For gel, we can’t ensure our quality standards, so we’re not able to work with your polish. (Just keep in mind, its tougher to ensure the longevity of your mani when you bring your own polish)

Book Ahead

Book ahead and try to pre-purchase your services. We’ve launched Erika to help. She’s our new AI Guest Service Coordinator. You can text her at 646-681-5880 or chat with her right here on our website. You can also book through our site or through the MindBody app. (PS Erika can also answer questions)

No Magazines & No Nail Drying

We have not brought back print magazines yet. We’ve removed our nail drying stations and fans to reduce the number of Guests in our spaces and increase the opportunity for physical spacing. We’re asking that you dry your nails at home. Don’t worry, we’ll provide a quick dry solution at the end of your painting, whenever possible.

When will Mane & Mani be back to normal capacity?

We’re following all state and local guidelines, so we hope to be back to normal very soon!

Are all locations reopened and back to normal hours?

All of our locations have been reopened. We’re steadily increasing our hours of operation and we expect to be back to normal soon!

When will my location reopen?

All locations are open!

I have credits in my account for services, but they are going to expire soon and I'm still not comfortable reopening just yet. Will I lose my services?

Reach out to our Guest Care Team and we’ll work this out for you so you can have more time to enjoy your favorite services.
